- School sports: homecomings, parades. Walt Whitman and John Glenn High Schools have their homecoming today, which means road closures. Elwood-John H. Glenn High School Homecoming Parade: From James H. Boyd Elementary School, to Cuba Hill Rd, Elwood Road, ending at Elwood-John H. Glenn High School. Walt Whitman High School Homecoming Parade: From the high school to to West Hills Road, Jericho Tpke, Collins Pl, Peachtree Ln, north on West Hill Road, ending at the high school.
