1. School sports: homecomings, parades. Walt Whitman and John Glenn High Schools have their homecoming today, which means road closures. Elwood-John H. Glenn High School Homecoming Parade: From James H. Boyd Elementary School, to Cuba Hill Rd, Elwood Road, ending at Elwood-John H. Glenn High School. Walt Whitman High School Homecoming Parade: From the high school to to West Hills Road, Jericho Tpke, Collins Pl, Peachtree Ln, north on West Hill Road, ending at the high school. Development rights for Tilden Lane Farm in Greenlawn have been acquired by Suffolk County, Huntington Councilman Mark Cuthbertson announced Thursday.
