Hundreds Dash For Easter Eggs at Huntington's 'Spring Eggstravaganza'

Each child at the "Eggstravagansa" brought a canned good with them to donate to a local food pantry.

Hundreds of children ages 3-8 had a blast searching for treat-filled eggs around Heckscher Park during a “Spring Eggstravaganza” last week.

Besides having an “egg-cellent” time during the egg hunt, kids were able to get creative with spring crafts and face painting. They also had the chance to take photos with the Easter Bunny, who made a special appearance.

Those who attended came with a canned good item that would be donated to a local food pantry. Hundreds of canned goods were then brought over to the outreach center at St. Hugh of Lincoln’s food pantry in Huntington Station.
