Huntington Cop Blotter: Man Tries To Rob Person Of Bike W/ Knife

ALSO: Another man stole a car, generator and other tools, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Check out some of the recent arrests made in the Huntington area, from Feb. 9 through Feb. 16.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Luis Martinez, 31, of Huntington Station, attempted to steal a bicycle from someone while using a knife, police said. He was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with first-degree robbery: use of dangerous instrument on Feb. 15.
  • Luis Echevarria-Velez, 30, of Huntington Station, possessed cannabis oil and intended to sell it, police said. He was arrested and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of controlled substance: with intent to sell on Feb. 14.
  • David Bello, 21, of Flushing, stole two Ralph Lauren polo jackets from Macy's in Huntington Station, police said. He was arrested and charged with possession of burglar tools on Feb. 12.
  • Albert Oliver, 45, of Huntington, drove a car after his license had been suspended multiple times, police said. He was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation: 10 or more suspensions on Feb. 12.
  • Kevin Moore, 42, of Dix Hills, stole a 2018 Honda Civic, police said. He also nabbed numerous tools and a generator from a van parked in front of a home, police said. He was arrested and charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property over $1,000 and third-degree grand larceny on Feb. 11.
