- Duo distracts woman in Lidl parking lot and steals her wallet from her vehicle. The incident happened last Thursday shortly after 11 a.m. when one man distracted the woman while another stole her wallet. The duo later used her credit card at a Home Depot in East Northport and another Home Depot in Commack. (News 12 Bronx)

- Bluefish Tournament returns to Oyster Bay on Sept. 18. It's the 36th year of the tournament and it will be held from 4:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. "The Bluefish Tournament is a great all-day sporting event with wonderful prizes and great camaraderie," said Supervisor Joseph Saladino. "Join us for this fun day of tranquility on the water, the adrenaline rush of feeling that first big tug on your fishing line, and the spirit of competition as you try to beat the tournament record and compete for prizes."
