Here are the top stories in Huntington today:
- Wow house: $1.399M Huntington home Is entertainer's delight. Huntington is an ideal home for a family. We have the restaurants, beaches, close proximity to the train, and directly in the middle of Long Island. The real estate Huntington boasts is top tier, including this $1.399M home located at 12 Dumplin Hill Lane. The home has a home gym, pool, recreation room, and much more. It went on the market two weeks ago and can be yours for a cool $1.399M. (Huntington Patch)
- Suffolk County government: Coronavirus case update for January 8. Take a look at the most recent COVID-19 numbers for Suffolk County. If you look closely at numbers, the best way to get a feel on this variant is to look at the hospitalizations. The good news is there has been a decrease in ICU patients and hospitalizations seem to be plateauing. Here's to hoping that the worst part of the surge is over, and we can head into the spring in the endemic phase! (Press Release Desk)
- Senior Center to remain closed but home meals are available. The town of Huntington’s Senior Center and Senior Beach House will both remain closed next week because of Covid-19 -related staffing shortages. But home delivered meals will continue. The status of the senior center closings will be reassessed on a week-to-week basis. Residents with questions regarding meals and activities may contact the Senior Center at (631) 351-3253.
