Here are the top stories in Huntington today:

  1. Del Vino Vineyard in Northport grows its tasting room, winery business. Del Vino Vineyard opened three years ago in Northport. The business has thrived, expanded their offerings, and made adjustments to survive the pandemic. They have expanded the outdoor area, the food and wine list, and love their customers like family. Owner Lisa Giachetti said, “We opened our doors, and it was gangbusters,” said the Northport resident. “We thought maybe the crowds were just there for the first weekend, since it was new, but they never let up. We never anticipated the response and reception we received, and we are very grateful.” (Long Island Press)
  2. Wow house: $1.1M Huntington home with heated saltwater pool. Check out this beautiful home located at 76 Salem Dr. in Huntington. The property has a heated saltwater in-ground pool. The home's outgoing owner added a Heppa 13 Merv air filter with ultraviolet lighting, as well as a Pure Wash Pro system that purifies the water for washing clothes in cold water that replaces the use of detergent, both for the purpose of killing germs, according to the Redfin listing. It can be yours for a cool $1.1M. (Huntington Patch)
  3. Book store plan's supporters turn out for fun. On Thursday night supporters gathered to hear live music with the band Drop the 4 playing at Industry Lounge & Gallery. Mallory Braun, who is trying to open an independent bookstore called The Next Chapter to succeed Book Revue, spoke to supporters about the fundraising project. She also told Newsday that the $250,000 Kickstarter goal was reached. Check back to the newsletter for more info! (http://www.huntingtonNow.com)
