- CatVideoFest returns to Cinema Arts Centre July 10. CatVideoFest is a showcase of cat videos that the Centre pulled from hours of submissions, music videos, and more. There will also be a pop-up kitten adoption with Golden Paw Society. (HuntingtonNow)
- First annual Family Pride Picnic coming to Huntington Sunday. The event will be held at Mill Dam Park and run from 1-4 p.m. "We're excited to kick off the first of what will hopefully be many Family Pride Picnics," said event founders Eric and Jim Rubin Perez. "We want to bring the entire community together, not only to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride, but to recognize the beauty and importance of family and show that Huntington embraces diversity." - Huntington couple creates survey to address Emergency Rental Assistance issues. June and Lance Margolin created the "New York State Residential Landlord & ERAP Survey" to gather information from fellow landlords who have tenants that applied for rental assistance from New York State. "New York State's poorly facilitated Emergency Rental Assistance Program
(ERAP) has enabled our tenant to hold our own home hostage for the last 7 months, the latest chapter in a nearly 2-year nightmare of missing rent, manipulation, violence and crushing expenses," the Margolins wrote.
