- Huntington Arts Festival kicks off. The festival goes until the first week in August and offers free music, dance, and theatre at the Chapin Stage in Heckscher Park. "The Huntington Summer Arts Festival is a cultural mainstay of Long Island and reflects our strong sense of community as we come together to celebrate the arts in an inclusive, family friendly environment," said Kieran Johnson, executive director of the Huntington Arts Council. - Storm Team 4 Meteorologist Matt Brickman meets with Commack students to wrap up "Weather Kids." The meteorologist went to schools throughout the year, teaching students about weather, storms, and more. Check out the video in the link. (NBC New York)
- SCPD now offering cash reward for information on a Dick's Sporting Goods theft. The theft occurred on June 16, where two men stole almost $3,000 worth of clothes from the store.
