- Jose Jurado, 24, of Huntington Station, punched a man at 1 a.m. Sunday in the 7-Eleven parking lot at 1297 New York Ave. and stole his cellphone. He was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery. (Huntington Patch)
- LI's Rob Montano set to perform at Walt Whitman Mall on Friday afternoon. The show will run from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Center Court in the mall, with Montano performing his show "Sounds of Summer." (Huntington Patch)
- Top-prize TAKE 5 ticket sold in Huntington Station. The winning ticket was sold Tuesday night at Rite Aid and is worth $36,943. (Huntington Patch)
- A 24-year-old woman was arrested for assault at a Syosset home. According to police, Karla Velasquez was found rummaging through a shed in the backyard of a house on Greevale Lane early Tuesday morning. The owner came out to approach her, and Velasquez kicked her and bit her finger. Velasquez also resisted arrest and a police officer was injured and she faces multiple charges. (News 12 Long Island)
