Here are the top stories in Huntington today:

  1. Man robs Elwood bank. A man robbed a TD bank in Elwood on Friday afternoon. A man entered TD Bank, at 1941 Jericho Turnpike, around 3:55 p.m., and demanded money from the teller, police said. The teller gave the man the money, and the man ran out of the bank, police said. Police are asking anyone with information to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6553 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. (Huntington Patch)
  2. LI small biz owner bullied online: 'How can people be so mean?' Jacqueline Guzman, the owner of a Long Island chocolate shop, was misidentified as the actress who went viral for anti-NYPD funeral TikTok. Social media users confused the 25-year-old Huntington resident and Sister Sweets business owner with New York City-based actress Jacqueline Guzman, who went viral for criticizing the funeral of slain NYPD officer Jason Rivera last week. "We thought it was never going to stop. Every two seconds a message comes in," Cristal Guzman said in a TikTok video. People even organized boycotts of the sisters' home sweets business. "Right now it's a lot of people showing support and love. There are still a few people who aren't convinced and will message or comment but not anywhere the amount from the first two days." We're glad things were cleared up for her and the business. (Huntington Patch)
  3. Priciest home sales in Syosset. Check out the three priciest homes sold in January right next door in Syosset. The three highest-priced home sales in Syosset last month ranged from $1.527 million to $3.725 million. The priciest Syosset home sold in January was an 8-bedroom, 7.5-bath colonial on 3.1 acres at 535 Split Rock Road that sold for $3.725 million. It was listed by John Messina of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty and sold by Daniel Gale’s Ann Hance. (Long Island Business News)
