  1. Commack woman and mother-of-five killed in hit-and-run in Hauppauge. Cherokee Fletcher, 28, was killed Monday night when she was walking on the sidewalk of Motor Parkway. An accident occurred on the road, causing one car in the crash to exit the road and hit Fletcher, but the driver fled the scene. She was pronounced dead on the scene. Fletcher was walking to a nearby ATM to get money for her child's field trip. (Patch)
  2. Check out the Northport adoptable pet of the week: Maximus. Unfortunately, Maximus was returned to the shelter shortly after being adopted recently and now needs a forever home again. Maximus is a male cat who is less than 1 year old, and you can learn more information on this cute stud in the link. (Patch)
  3. Three men steal Rolexes from Walt Whitman Mall. Three men used hammers to break multiple glass displays and steal the expensive watches at Tourneau inside the mall. Detectives are investigating and police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (Huntington Patch)
