  1. ICYMI: Northport's Del Vino Vineyards voted Top 100 Brunch Spots in America. The restaurant was named one of OpenTable's best Mother's Day brunch spots in the country. "OpenTable said an analysis of its data shows Mother's Day reservations to its clients are up 39 percent compared with pre–pandemic 2019, and up 13 percent compared with 2021.: (Patch)
  2. Oyster Bay teacher Charlie Rizzuto receives National High School Phys-Ed Teacher of the Year. Rizzo was one of five teachers from each grade level across the country selected for the award. He is the first teacher on Long Island to receive the award, and also coaches girls' lacrosse. (News 12 Brooklyn)
  3. 200 Saplings planted at Koster Park for National Arbor Day on Friday. Huntington High School students joined Scout troops to plant Flowering Dogwood, Highbush Cranberry, Buttonbush, Ninebark, Black Chokeberry, Virginia Rose, Witch Hazel, and Winterberry.
