  1. Hilltop Kitchen & Bar opening soon. The restaurant is located at 150 Jericho Turnpike and replaces Friendly's. They started hiring employees and confirmed having an outdoor patio with a bar. According to social media the Hilltop plans to open within the next few months. We will keep you updated on an official announcement. (LongIsland.com)

  4. Police looking for duo who stole $2,600 with the 'sleight of hand' technique. The duo stole money from a cashier at a Huntington store back in June. They distracted the cashier while buying two Burberry Bags and a pair of Chanel sunglasses. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (Huntington Patch)
