2. Northport celebrates its maritime heritage Saturday. "The maritime day featured a blessing of the fleet, which included boats and vessels of all shapes and sizes parading across the harbor. 3. Global Asias exhibit opens at the Heckscher Museum. The exhibit opened on June 4 and will run through September 18. “Global Asias is brimming with fascinating work by internationally renowned artists. As the only East Coast venue for the exhibition, The Heckscher Museum has a unique opportunity to share this timely art with communities across Long Island and beyond,” said curator Karli Wurzelbacher.
