  1. Prime voted Long Island's 2022 Most Romantic Restaurant. Long Islanders made the decision via poll from Bethpage Best of Long Islanders. Prime is known for its waterfront views and spectacular food and wine menu, along with a beautiful ambiance. "Their delicious menu has something for every palate, from steak and chops to surf and turf and sushi," the poll said. (Daily Voice)
  2. Pedestrian killed in Huntington Station Thursday night. The man was struck on New York Avenue at 9:35 p.m. by Edgar Maviel Chavez Membreno who was driving a 2010 Honda Civic. The pedestrian has not been named and was taken to Huntington Hospital after the incident where he was pronounced dead. (Huntington Now)
  3. Wrong-way driver killed in head-on crash in Melville Thursday night. "Marie Louis of North Amityville was driving a 2005 Honda Civic west in an eastbound lane of Express Drive south when she collided head on with a 2021 Mercedes Benz GLC driven by Venetia Atkinson at about 11:15 p.m." Louis, 61 was pronounced dead at Nassau University Medical Center and Atkinson was taken there as well with serious injuries.
