  1. Pickleball tournament in Melville draws a big turnout. The tournament was held at Sweet Hollow Park and was hosted by the Town of Huntington. The sport has gained popularity over the past few years, as anyone can learn and play with minimal equipment. Check out photos from the event in the link. (Huntington Now)
  2. LLoyd Harbor man arrested after driving drunk and crashing with three girls in vehicle. Matthew Giblin, age 51, of Lloyd Harbor, struck a concrete barrier on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway while three children were inside of the vehicle, Nassau County Police said. He then dropped the 13-year-old girls off on the side of the road and left. Police tracked him down and he faces multiple charges. (Daily Voice)
  3. Heat wave ahead for the work week. Get ready for consecutive 90-degree days this week, with Monday bringing heavy storms. Tuesday through Friday will be sunny, but very warm and humid. Make sure to stay hydrated and that your car fluids are all checked. (Weather.com)
