Here are the top 4 stories today in Huntington:
- 9/11 candlelight vigil to be held by Cold Spring Harbor Fire Department. The ceremony will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Cold Spring Harbor Firemen's Park on Main Street. This is the 21st anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. (Huntington Patch)
- LIE lanes westbound to be closed overnight starting next week. The closures will be from State Route 454/Veterans Memorial Highway to Route 231 and will be from 8:30 p.m. - 5 a.m. That includes the Town of Huntington, so be prepared for nighttime delays. (Huntington Now)
- Smoothie King opens its second Long Island location in Melville. Customers can redeem a free smoothie on its website and only applies to the Melville location. (Patch)
