- Check out student-athlete awards in our area. Gianna Paul earned a place on the All-American girls' soccer team. Paul is a Walt Whitman senior girls soccer player and excelled on and off the field to be selected. “We are so proud of Gianna for earning this tremendous honor,” said David Barth, supervisor of Physical Education, Health, Athletics and Recreation. “She is a terrific representative of the South Huntington School District, and a true leader on and off the soccer field.” 12 members of the Harborfield's varsity field hockey team were recently named to the 2021 National Academic Squad by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. - Huntington weather forecast for the week ahead brings back the cold to start the week. We hope you enjoyed the typical weird February weather the past few days. We had three days of beautiful weather, followed by a few inches of snow on Sunday. The weather forecast remains cold for Monday and Tuesday, but the end of the week will bring a warmup with temperatures back into the 50s. (Huntington Patch)
