Here are the top 3 stories today in Huntington:

  1. Super Bowl Sunday: What you need to know. Today is Super Bowl Sunday which means friends, food, and good times. Whether you are heading out to watch the game or staying in with friends, make sure you don't get behind the wheel if you are drinking. Suffolk County Police will have extra patrols on the roads, and early morning snow with colder temperatures will make for slick driving conditions. The game kicks off at 6 with the Los Angelos Rams facing the Cincinnati Bengals. (http://www.huntingtonNow.com)
  2. Don't let scammers 'game your gamble' AG warns before Super Bowl. This is the first Super Bowl that sports betting is legal in New York. There are ads to bet everywhere you look, but don't get fooled by false promises from these companies. Attorney General Letitia James has a stark warning for New Yorkers. "Before placing a bet, do your research into the platform, read the fine print of the offer, and follow our other tips to avoid any red flags and keep the odds in your favor," she said. "Online sports betting companies that fumble their advertising to mislead New Yorkers can expect to hear from my office." (Sachem Patch)
  3. Wow house: $1.399M Huntington ranch home with pool. Check out this beautiful $1.399M home for sale at 66 Salem Ridge Dr. in Huntington. The ranch features 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, an indoor gym, a pool, and a stunning yard. You can check out more on the listing by clicking the link from Redfin. (Huntington Patch)

This Memorial, located on the historic Village Green, was planted by the Huntington Women in Support of Our Men in Vietnam, an organization organized in 1966 with the express purpose of supporting the morale of the men serving there. We are trying to locate family members of the 48 young men who paid the supreme sacrifice. Please help us. If you know of anyone, I would appreciate you sending me their contact information."
