  1. Town Of Huntington employee arraigned for Stealing town property. A Town of Huntington security guard was arraigned yesterday for stealing tools from the town and selling them for profit, announced Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney. Robert Chura, 29 of Selden is charged with burglary in the third degree (D Felony); grand larceny in the third degree (D Felony) and official misconduct (A misdemeanor). His next court date is Jan. 26. Chura stole over $3,700 worth of tools and resold them to a Patchogue man. (smithtownmatters.com)
  2. Cream Espresso Bar and Bakery set to open in Huntington Village this month. There will be a new bakery in town this month, in place of the old Crave bakery located on the corner of Main St. and New York Avenue. Owner Georgio Hambartsoumian said, “It’s kind of like a European taste coming to Huntington and American traditional cakes, I’m trying to expand. Where I am in Bellmore it’s kind of quiet compared to Huntington.” The family-run business specializes in Armenian pastries, European-style baked goods and American classics. (Greater Long Island)
  3. Here's how much snow Town Of Huntington communities got. The North Shore of Long Island got dumped with heavy snow in the early hours Friday morning. Huntington had one of the highest totals on the island, with 8.6 inches. Luckily the snow was very light powder and removal crews did a great job clearing the roads in town.
