Here are the top 4 stories in Huntington today:
- Harborfields seniors Alison Ryan and Jacob Siegel named National Merit Finalists. "We are so incredibly proud of Jacob and Ali," Principal Timothy Russo said. "Being recognized as a National Merit Finalist is an amazing accomplishment. Over 1.5 million students took the PSAT in 2020 and became eligible for National Merit recognition. Jacob and Ali are two of 15,000 finalists, placing them in the top 1% of more than one and a half million students. They truly stand out as some of the very best and brightest young scholars in our nation. This is a tremendous honor, but most importantly, it is a well-deserved recognition of the many years of hard work, dedication and commitment to their academic studies on Jacob and Ali's part."(Huntington Patch)
- Ulta Beauty robbed for thousands in perfume, again. Two thieves stole over $9,000 worth of perfume from Ulta on March 24. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. A cash reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest. (Huntington Patch)
- Huntington resident and musician is organizing concerts in New York City to aid Ukranians. Evelyn Ulix is working with young musicians who will perform on Sunday at two Children Helping Children concerts. They will be held in the sanctuary of the Society for the Advancement of Judaism and will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Two ways to donate are by purchasing a ticket or a donation of any amount through AMTL's Save The Children's Ukranian Child Rescue Fund.
