  2. Syosset Central School District responds to video showing student in a cage. Syosset school district is under fire after a video went viral of a student in a cage. School officials say the video was taken at Syosset High School and say what the video shows is part of a science experiment that is done every year. The video shows a student in a cage on the floor while a teacher stands over him zapping the cage with an electrical prod. The teacher is heard saying, "You guys have to wear your masks. It's important." Many parents questioned the activity, and thoughts are mixed on the subject. What do you think? (News 12 Bronx)
  3. Huntington Police blotter: Serial Ulta Beauty thief arrested. A serial Ulta Beauty thief who stole thousands of dollars' worth of products from various Ulta stores throughout Long Island has been arrested. Sereniti Butler, 20, of the Bronx, stole more than a combined $24,800 in perfumes and fragrances from various Ulta Beauty stores in Suffolk County on six occasions between Nov. 13, 2020, and March 23, 2021, police said. Butler was accused of working with others during some of the thefts, police said. She was arrested in Huntington and charged with three counts of third-degree grand larceny, three counts of fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000 and two counts of petty larceny on Jan. 7.
