  1. Alfred J. Walker Park in Huntington Station to get complete overhaul. The Huntington Town Board approved up to $1.2 million in bonding to improve the park. The changes and money will go towards a new playground, renovated basketball court, art, trees, adult workout equipment, and more. "An "Alfred J. Walker Art Walk" will feature Walker's cartoons and art as well. "The family conveyed this was the most important aspect of the proposed improvements," said town spokeswoman Lauren Lembo. 2. Check out recent arrests made in the area. A man stole from someone's bank account on March 11 and a woman used a hammer to smash the windshield of a car parked in the USA Gas Station on Main Street on March 11. You can take a look at all arrests by clicking the link. (Huntington Patch)
  3. Paralyzed Plainview college student to get home makeover from NBC's "George To The Rescue." It will be one of the biggest makeovers in the show's history, according to NBC. Rebecca Kulton was paralyzed in a ski accident last year, and the community rallied together to raise $1 million for her and her family. The home makeover will allow for renovations to outfit the home for Kulton's needs. The episode will air on April 2. (Patch)
