Here are the top 3 stories today in Huntington:

  1. Weather for the work week brings rain and seasonal temperatures. As you head into the first full week of April, make sure to check out the weather ahead. Monday will be the nicest day of the week, with sunny skies and a high near 55. The rest of the work week brings rain but mild temperatures. Hang on until the weekend where we will get some beautiful weather! (Weather.com)
  2. A 10-year-old Plainview girl organizes Ukraine relief concert in Huntington. Charlize Tuozzo organized the event to be held on April 6 at The Paramount from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. "I planned this concert because the people in Ukraine need help," Charlize told Patch. "I see the news and the pictures of the kids crying because their dads cannot leave with them. I can't imagine having to leave without my daddy or brothers. I see how sad everyone is, I see their homes and cities destroyed. I worry about where everyone will live after leaving their homes. I want to have this concert so that we can raise money to help them. It's very important to me to at least try to do something to help them. We need to help them." Tickets are $35 and all proceeds will go to the BStrong charity founded by Bethenny Frankel.(Huntington Patch)
  3. Northport offers a day of shopping, good food and art. Check out this article that Northforker did which gives you a full day schedule on what to do and how to enjoy Northport to the fullest. Start your day at Sweet Mama's for breakfast and end with a show at the John W. Engemen Theatre. Check out the article to see all the activities for the day. (Northforker)
