  1. Huntington weekend events: See what's happening in the area. Looking to head out on the town this weekend and have some fun? Perfect, we have you covered with everything going on in Huntington.   2. Covid-19 stats, reported in public school districts. Total Covid-19 cases reported for public school districts with the Town of Huntington, including Huntington, Cold Spring Harbor, South Huntington, Elwood, Northport, Harborfields, Commack and Half Hollow Hills. From my notebook:

  • Huntington Union Free School District: The Huntington girls’ basketball team overcame a slow start in a big way and went on to beat North Babylon, 68-36 to remain undefeated at 13-0.
    Huntington needed time to get going before exploding for 26 first quarter points to build what proved to be an insurmountable lead. The Blue Devils led 39-17 at halftime and 48-28 heading into the final eight minutes of play. Huntington outscored their hosts in the second half, 29-19. (Facebook)
  • Huntington Union Free School District: Huntington UFSD is exploring the possibility of developing a varsity girls’ golf team. It would be a first for the Blue Devils. (Facebook)
  • Helping Hand Rescue Mission: "Please pray for one of Mission's families currently sick with COVID; parents and young children testing positive. The Mission is so happy they can help their community with support, encouragement, prayers, food supplies and resources. Thank you for help. (Facebook)
  • Spirit of Huntington Art Center: "Here are the complete photos from the Art Center's opening night! Plenty of people came out and it's great seeing all the love that came out to support! The show is going on until Saturday. (Facebook)
