- Huntington weather forecast for the weekend ahead. We hope you enjoyed the brief nice weather as the blistering cold is back for Saturday. Expect Friday to be another mild day with temperatures dropping steadily through the night with Saturday having a high in the teens. The wind chill will bring temperatures to feel like below zero and we urge you to stay warm and keep your pets inside. We will update you if Huntington reopens warming centers for the frigid cold. - Mcdonald's shut for renovation; reopening expected in April. Mcdonald's on East Jericho Turnpike is closed for an extended period of time for renovations. The popular fast-food establishment will reopen in April after an extensive overhaul. McDonald’s said that when the restaurant reopens, it will offer kiosk ordering, tandem drive through with digital menu boards, and full interior and exterior updates. (http://www.huntingtonNow.com)

- Huntington Union Free School District: The J. Taylor Finley Middle School boys’ basketball team capped off its season with an exciting 41-31 victory over visiting West Hollow-Red.
