- Police commissioner has a meet and greet with Huntington residents. Newly appointed Suffolk Police commissioner Rodney Harrison had a Zoom meeting Monday night with Huntington residents. Among the issues Harrison and community residents discussed were transparency, departmental diversity and hiring, drugs, hate crimes, school crossing guards, human trafficking and departmental outreach to the community. - Huntington police blotter: Man holds knife to women, robs them. Check out the recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Jan. 17 through Jan. 22. Kristian Falterman, 40, of Selden, stole cash and iPhones from Sugar Pine Spa in Huntington Station on Jan. 11, police said. Falterman stole money from a woman while pointing a knife at her at Sugar Pine Spa on Jan. 18, police said. On Jan. 19, Falterman stole cash from a woman while pointing a knife at her at Venom Smoke Shop in Huntington Station, police said. He was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree robbery: use of dangerous instrument and one count of third-degree robbery on Jan. 20. (Huntington Patch)
