  1. Hazardous weather outlook issues for the weekend. A heat wave will be affecting over 60% of the United States this weekend, and we will not be in that 40% escaping brutal temperatures. "The first widespread hot spell of the season is expected this weekend, with heat indices in the low-to-mid 90s away from the coast," the weather service said. "This will increase the risk of heat-related illness for vulnerable populations." (Patch)
  2. Attorney general warns New Yorkers against baby formula price gouging. "The national baby formula shortage is terrifying for parents concerned about how to feed their children Letita James said via news release. "The last thing any family needs is to be price gouged on critical nutrition for their little ones, which is why I am putting profiteers seeking to take advantage of this crisis on notice. If New Yorkers see exorbitant price increases for baby formula, I encourage them to report it to my office immediately. Anyone who seeks to take advantage of this crisis is on notice." (Patch)
  3. Huntington-Area Memorial Day parades, Memorial services. With Memorial Day weekend a little over a week away, see what's going on in the Town of Huntington.
