Here are the top 4 stories today in Huntington:
- Zaro's Cafe of Huntington Station to celebrate 30th anniversary in 2023, but with doubts. The Greek cafe doesn't know how much longer they will be able to continue due to inflation and other factors. Zaro's manager, Edmund Zarao told Patch, "I definitely am afraid. There are so many factors. There are so many pieces of this puzzle. A restaurant has so many moving parts. It's really, really hard to maintain everything. I'm definitely afraid, especially if there's going to be a recession, or this wave continues of shortages and price increases. It's going to be very difficult to maintain a functioning business, to meet the margins you have to meet in order to cover your costs as a business." (Huntington Patch)
- Police looking for man who used stolen credit card at Venom X Smoke Shop in Huntington Station. The man stole the card July 9 and then used it on July 10. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (Huntington Patch)
- Huntington Police Blotter: See crimes and arrests in our area from July 17-23. A man was robbed of his cellphone at knife point and another man was arrested for identity fraud. Click the link to see everything that went on last week. (Huntington Patch)
