  1. Huntington honors World War II veterans on Saturday. The names of 365 WWII veterans were added to the Town Of Huntington's WWII memorial. "We are proud to honor the memory, service and sacrifice of these 365 Huntington World War II veterans and forever memorialize their service to our country," supervisor Chad Lupinacci stated. "It is a special honor to be here with the veterans who served and to see them receive this recognition today as we remember all of those who served alongside them." (Huntington Patch)
  2. 83-year-old Huntington man who was reported missing was found safe. Frank Meystrik, 83, of Huntington, returned home, unharmed, Suffolk police said. The power of social media came together, as many local residents joined forces to share articles and pictures, which led to Meystrik being found safe and sound. (Huntington Patch)
