Huntington Man Killed His Girlfriend: Suffolk Police
The man, 45, was charged with murder on Monday, police say. The woman's body was found in their apartment earlier in January, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Christopher Jackson, 45, of Huntington, was arrested Monday by Suffolk police in connection with the killing of his girlfriend, Mareasa Westcott, 47, police said. Jackson was charged with second-degree murder.
Westcott was found dead in the couple's Elm Street residence on Jan. 18, police said.
Jackson will be held overnight at the Second Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday.

The apartment's landlord called 911 on the afternoon of Jan. 18 to ask that police check on the welfare of Westcott, who had not been seen for several days, police said. Officers then found her body, police said. Police on Thursday said that Westcott was killed.
