Huntington Manor Junior Firefighter Awarded $1.5K Scholarship
The Walt Whitman High School graduate has been part of the department's junior firefighter program for four years.
The Firemen's Association of the State of New York recently presented a Huntington Manor junior firefighter with a $1,500 scholarship award.
The Gerald J. Buckenmeyer Volunteer Scholarship Award went to 18-year-old Robert Eng who has been a member of Huntington Manor’s Explorer Post 1650 Juniors program for four years.
Eng graduated from Walt Whitman High School in June and will be attending LIU Post College in the fall where he will be majoring in Game Design and Development.
