Huntington PD Blotter: Registered Sex Offender Misses Check-Ins

HUNTINGTON, NY — Check out some of the recent arrests made in the Huntington area, from Jan. 20 through Jan. 25.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

• Eric Freeman, 44, of Huntington Station, is a registered sex offender who knowingly missed a couple of his 90-day address verification check-ins, police said. An inquiry was made by the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services, and a subsequent investigation was made by the Suffolk County Police Department, police said. He was arrested and charged with sex offender registry violation: first offense on Jan. 23.
• Yao Kouame, 40, of Westbury, drove a 1999 Toyota without an interlock device at 12:07 p.m. Jan. 20 in Huntington Station, police said. He was arrested and charged with use of other vehicle w/o interlock on Jan. 20.
