Huntington Police Blotter: 2 Cars Stolen
ALSO: A Huntington Station homeowner's mailbox was destroyed, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from July 4 through July 9.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- July 9: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on East Main Street in Huntington from July 8 at 10 p.m. A Kia was ransacked, and an iPad and credit card were stolen, police said.
- July 7: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Horton Drive in South Huntington from July 4 at 3 p.m. Someone convinced a South Huntington resident to invest in cryptocurrency during a months-long online relationship and deposit money into the crypto account, police said. The person was scammed, police said.
- July 5: Criminal mischief (first-degree) was reported on Wyoming Drive in Huntington Station at 12:18 p.m. A mailbox was destroyed and its pieces scattered, police said.
- July 4: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on East 5th Street in Huntington Station at 12:11 p.m. A 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe was stolen, police said.
- July 4: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Crombie Street in Huntington Station at 1 a.m. Someone stole a 2017 Ford Escape, police said.
