Huntington Police Blotter: 2016 BMW Stolen

ALSO: Multiple multi-thousand dollar store thefts were reported, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from May 30 through June 4.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • June 4: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Walt Whitman Road in South Huntington at 6:17 p.m. More than $3,400 worth of perfume was stolen from Ulta Beauty, police said.
  • June 1: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Ridgeview Lane in Huntington from May 31 at 6 p.m. A woman received an email from someone pretending to be her friend asking for gift cards, police said. She purchased the gift cards and unknowingly sent them to the fake email, police said. The hacker sent her another email asking for more gift cards, and the woman purchased more gift cards, police said.
  • June 1: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Walt Whitman Road in South Huntington from May 31 at 5 p.m. Someone stole more than $4,100 in merchandise from Macy's, police said.
  • May 31: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Conklin Lane in Huntington at 4:30 a.m. A 2016 BMW was stolen after the keyfob was left inside the car, police said.
  • May 31: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Walt Whitman Road in South Huntington at 3:20 p.m. More than $4,100 in men's clothing was stolen from Bloomingdale's, police said.
  • May 31: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Walt Whitman Road in South Huntington at 3:30 p.m. More than $5,000 worth of perfumes was stolen from a store in the Huntington Shopping Center, police said.
