Huntington Police Blotter: Building Damaged, Graffitied

ALSO: A vehicle's back windshield was smashed during an argument; and a man who had his pants down in public was reported, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from April 7 through April 13.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • April 12: Making graffiti and criminal mischief: intent to damage property were reported on Main Street in Huntington at 1:18 p.m. Someone wrote graffiti on the back wall of a building at 80 E. Main St., Huntington, police said. The metal plate covering the window on the side of the building was bent off, and the window was shattered, police said. The date the damage was done is unknown, police said.
  • April 10: Public lewdness was reported on New York Avenue in Huntington Station at 6:44 p.m. Someone reported a man who had his pants down, police said.
  • April 7: Criminal mischief: intent to damage property was reported on Depot Road in Huntington Station at 7:07 p.m. An argument was reported inside a vehicle, police said. The argument escalated, and someone grabbed a glass-breaking tool from the side of the vehicle and broke the back windshield with the tool, police said.
