Huntington Police Blotter: Burglars Who Stole Safe Charged
One of the men, of Huntington Station, also used a stolen credit card at a local wine store, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Check out some of the recent arrests made in the Huntington area, from Feb. 17 through Feb. 22.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Marissa Kovalovsky, 26, of Huntington Station, was driving a 2004 Ford pickup when she blew a stop sign going northbound on 11th Avenue and Tippin Drive, Huntington Station, despite having a suspended license, police said. She was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle: three or more suspensions on Feb. 22.
- Faheem Chapman, 25, of Huntington Station, made purchases with a stolen credit card at Pidgeon Hill Wine & Spirits in Huntington Station 4:09 p.m. Jan. 16, police said. On Jan. 26, Chapman entered a Bellport home with two others, remained inside and stole a safe containing property, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary: dwelling on Feb. 21 and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property: possessed credit card on Feb. 20, police said.
- Rex Watson, 57, of Babylon, showed an officer a forged driver's license at a traffic stop, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree possessed forged instrument on Feb. 21.
- Sirbashin Watkins, 26, of Huntington, entered a Bellport home on Jan. 26 and stole a safe, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary: dwelling on Feb. 19.
- Anthony DeRosa, 56, of Islip Terrace, unlawfully possessed a license plate in the trunk of a 2002 Saturn, police said. He was arrested and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property on Feb. 18.
