Huntington Police Blotter: Camera Equipment, MacBook Stolen From Car
ALSO: A BMW was stolen, and a woman was scammed, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from March 26 through April 1.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- March 30: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Woodhull Road in Huntington at 12:13 p.m. A woman received checks from someone she did not know, police said. She used the money to buy Bitcoin, which she transferred to the person scamming her, police said. The checks were counterfeit and bounced, police said.
- March 28: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Tennyson Place in Greenlawn at 7:50 p.m. A 2019 Ford parked in a driveway was broken into, police said. Camera equipment, a camera, and a MacBook laptop were stolen, police said.
- March 28: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Hillside Avenue in Cold Spring Harbor at 11:10 a.m. Someone stole a 2018 BMW X3 from a home, police said.
