Huntington Police Blotter: Counterfeit Bill Used At Smoke Shop
The $20 counterfeit bill had "copy money" written on it, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from July 25 through July 31.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Michael Rodriguez, 38, of East Northport, used a counterfeit $20 bill stamped with the term "copy money" to make a purchase at Legacy Smoke Shop in East Northport at 12:30 p.m. July 30, police said. He was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of forged instrument on July 30.
- Kalyn Davis, 24, of Huntington, was driving a 2009 Nissan Maxima eastbound at Broadway and Biltmore Circle in Huntington Station when he did not maintain his lane at 1:19 a.m. July 28, police said. Davis's breath smelled of cannabis, his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and his speech was slurred, police said. He was arrested and charged with first-degree operate motor vehicle impaired by drugs on July 28.
