Huntington Police Blotter: Loaded Guns Sold Illegally

There were two separate arrests, with an assault rifle being sold in one. ALSO: another box cutter incident, and an iPhones burglary: SCPD

HUNTINGTON, NY — Check out some of the recent arrests made in the Huntington area, from Sept. 15 to Sept. 21.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Hobbie Gill, 36, of Rockville Centre, stole lottery tickets from a Huntington 7-Eleven, and was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny on Sept. 21, police said.
  • Christian Ramirez, 19, of Greenlawn, got into a fight with someone and slashed him in the face with a box cutter, and was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with assault w/ intent to cause physical injury w/ weapon on Sept. 19, police said.
  • Summer Sassonelevy, 22, of Holbrook, gave a police officer a fake name while she was being questioned in Huntington Station, and was arrested and charged with false personation on Sept. 19, police said.
  • Landre Simmons, 20, of Wyandanch, entered a Huntington home through the back glass door and stole two iPhones, and was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary: dwelling on Sept. 19, police said.
  • Peter Sosnowski, 39, of Hampton Bays, got into a verbal fight with someone and pulled out a metal rod that looks like it could be a gun before threatening the other person with it, and was arrested in Huntington and charged with second-degree menacing: weapon on Sept. 19, police said.
  • Tavon Pascal, 22, of Huntington Station, possessed a loaded assault rifle without a license and illegally sold it to someone in Huntington, and was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal sale of firearm: unauthorized person on Sept. 15, police said.
  • Matthew Edwards Jr., 52, of Huntington Station, possessed two loaded pistols without a license and sold them to another person in Huntington Station, and was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of firearm: unauthorized person on Sept. 15, police said.
