Huntington Police Blotter: Man Breaks Into Greenlawn Home

He damaged property inside after burglarizing the house, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Nov. 29 through Dec. 5.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Matthew Amatulli, 39, of Greenlawn, entered a home at East Maple Road in Greenlawn at 8 p.m. Dec. 5 and damaged property inside, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary: dwelling on Dec. 5.
  • Elmer Ticas-Martinez, 21, of Flushing, was pulled over in Huntington at 11:15 p.m. Dec. 5, police said. An officer found a dagger in the driver's side door of his Honda, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon: intent to use on Dec. 5.
