Huntington Police Blotter: Man Had Forged NYS Driver's License

He was charged with second-degree possession of a forged instrument, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Sept. 26 through Oct. 2.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Timothy Caffrey, 45, of Huntington, punched a man, causing a cut above his left eye, in Huntington at 3 p.m. Oct. 1, police said. The man went to the hospital, police said. Caffrey was arrested and charged with third-degree assault w/ intent to cause physical injury on Oct. 1.
  • Andy Lafontant, 29, undomiciled, was found to have a forged New York state driver's license while in Melville, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree possession of forged instrument on Sept. 29.
