Huntington Police Blotter: Man Steals From House, Business

He burglarized the home and stole cabinets, and he then broke into a business to steal a car tire, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Aug. 30 through Sept. 6.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Aaron Tarkin, 33, of Huntington Station, touched a woman's breasts in Huntington on Aug. 20, police said. He was arrested and charged with forcible touching: intimate parts on Sept. 3.
  • Alexander Dixon, 55, of Greenlawn, stole several cabinets from a Huntington Station home he entered at 12:10 a.m. Aug. 31, police said. Dixon then went to MR. TIRE INC. on New York Avenue in Huntington Station at 3:50 a.m., cut the lock on the gate, entered and stole a car tire, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, criminal mischief with intent to damage property, third-degree criminal trespass and petty larceny on Sept. 3.
  • Abraham Finkler, 39, of West Hills, put his arms around the neck of another man and squeezed until the man lost consciousness and collapsed on the floor on May 31 in West Hills, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree strangulation on Sept. 1.
  • Marc Ellis, 54, of Melville, pepper-sprayed another man on Aug. 3 in Melville, causing him to need medical attention for burning and temporary loss of vision, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree assault w/ intent to cause physical injury on Aug. 31.
  • Marvin Zepeda-Castillo, 39, of Huntington Station, threw his bicycle at a 2005 Chevy Equinox, damaging the front driver's side door, at 11 p.m. Aug. 22 in Huntington Station, police said. He was arrested and charged with criminal mischief: intent to damage property on Aug. 31.
