Huntington Police Blotter: Man Stole $1,100 Worth Of Goods From Target
He stole clothing, home goods, and toiletries, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Aug. 1 through Aug. 6.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Omar Benners, 44, of Huntington, stole roughly $1,120 worth of assorted clothing, home goods and toiletries from Target in Huntington Station around 2:30 p.m. Aug. 3, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000 on Aug. 3.
- James Sutton, 33, of Oakdale, was involved in a crash while driving a 2020 GMC pick-up truck on Park Avenue in Huntington around 9 p.m. Aug. 1, police said. Sutton initially drove away after the crash, police said. He admitted to the police that he drank alcohol before he drove, police said. He was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, DWI: first offense, and leaving the scene of an accident and failing to show license.
