Huntington Police Blotter: Person Punched In Saks Fifth Avenue Robbery

A group forcibly took property from another person and then punched them, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Nov. 19 through Nov. 25.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Nov. 25: Christopher Savinetti, 31, of Huntington, took two checks made out to North Shore Dental of Huntington and deposited them into his own account between Sept. 20 and Oct. 5, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000.
  • Nov. 21: Christine Johnson, 36, of Jamaica, while working with Telston Johnson and another person, stole a handbag and T-shirts at Saks Fifth Avenue in Huntington Station at 3 p.m. Nov. 19, police said. The group forcibly took property from a victim and punched them when a struggle ensued over the stolen property, police said. She was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree robbery: aided by another, two counts of acting in manner to injure child under 17, and one count of fourth-degree grand larceny.
  • Nov. 19: Telston Johnson, 41, of Jamaica, while working with Christine Johnson and another person, stole a handbag and T-shirts at Saks Fifth Avenue in Huntington Station at 3 p.m. Nov. 19, police said. The group forcibly took property from a victim and punched them when a struggle ensued over the stolen property, police said. He was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree robbery: aided by another, two counts of acting in manner to injure child under 17, and one count of fourth-degree grand larceny.
