Huntington Police Blotter: Person Suffers Cut In Fight With 2 Men

ALSO: Another man was found to be in possession of four stolen credit cards, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from Dec. 27 through Jan. 2.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Josue Zepeda-Padilla, 23, of Huntington Station, was involved in a fight with someone when he used a weapon to give the other person a severe cut that needed medical attention at 12:35 p.m. Jan. 1 on New York Avenue in Huntington Station, police said. A couple of hours later, Zepeda-Padilla was found by police to have a switchblade in his jacket pocket and an open container of Corona, police said. He was arrested and charged with assault w/ intent to cause physical injury w/ weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of weapon and open container on Jan. 1.
  • Roger Duarte, 22, of Greenlawn, was involved in a fight where someone else received a cut that needed medical attention at the MTA overpass in Huntington Station at 12:35 p.m. Jan. 1, police said. Shortly after, Duarte was found by police to have a vape pen with THC, as well as an open container of Corona, police said. He was arrested and charged with assault w/ intent to cause physical injury w/ weapon, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and open container on Jan. 1.
  • Derrick Loyde, 34, of Huntington, was found to have four credit cards that were recently reported stolen while he was being searched on New York Avenue in Huntington Station, police said. Loyde also had a THC pen containing THC oil, police said. He was arrested and charged with four counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property: possession of credit card and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Dec. 31.
