Huntington Police Blotter: Taxi Driver Attacked, Car Stolen

ALSO: A Mercedes was stolen from a King Kullen parking lot in Huntington Station, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Dec. 6 through Dec. 11.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Dec. 11: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Broadway in Greenlawn at 7:43 a.m. Someone claimed to be someone's grandson who needed money to be bailed out of jail, police said.
  • Dec. 10: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on West Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station at 11 a.m. Someone stole a 2010 Mercedes from the parking lot of King Kullen in Huntington Station, police said.
  • Dec. 9: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Stony Hollow Road in Greenlawn at 3:30 a.m. Two people broke into a garage and stole a dirt bike and quad bike, police said.
  • Dec. 9: Robbery (first-degree) was reported on West Pulaski Road in Huntington Station at 8:15 p.m. Someone struck a taxi driver in the face with a weapon and drove the 2006 Honda Oddysey away, police said.
  • Dec. 6: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Walt Whitman Road in South Huntington at 6:31 p.m. Someone stole men's and women's fragrances from Ulta Beauty, police said.
