Huntington Police Blotter: Woman Robbed In Gym Parking Lot
ALSO: Cash was stolen from a home during a burglary, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Feb. 21 through Feb. 26.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Feb. 24: Robbery (third-degree) was reported on Pulaski Road in Greenlawn from Feb. 23 at 9:40 a.m. Someone demanded a woman's iPhone while she was in her vehicle in the parking lot of Planet Fitness, police said. She gave the person the phone, and the robber ran off, police said.
- Feb. 24: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Walt Whitman Road in South Huntington at 12:30 a.m. Someone stole more than $2,000 worth of men's clothing from Macy's, police said.
- Feb. 23: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on Mary Court in Melville at 6:53 p.m. Someone entered a home by breaking a back patio glass door and then stole cash from the bedroom, police said.
- Feb. 22: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station at 8:45 p.m. Someone stole jewelry from Macy's, police said.
- Feb. 21: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Keeler Street in Greenlawn from Feb. 16 at 11:22 a.m. Someone was contacted by a scammer who claimed that their Social Security Number would be used to open bank accounts and move around drug money, police said. The person sent scammer gift cards to stop the blackmail, police said.
