Huntington Police Blotter: Woman's Wallet Stolen, Credit Cards Used

ALSO: A car was stolen, and someone stole from a Macy's, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from May 7 through May 13.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • May 11: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on Midland Street in Cold Spring Harbor at 8 p.m. A 2023 Mercedes was stolen from a home's garage, police said. The car was found less than a mile away in good condition, police said. The stolen key fob was not recovered, police said.
  • May 10: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported at Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station at 8:30 p.m. Someone entered Macy's and stole fragrances, sunglasses and clothing, police said.
  • May 7: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on East Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station at 5:21 p.m. Someone stole a wallet from a shopping cart at Stop & Shop, police said.
  • May 7: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Walt Whitman Road in Huntington at 3 p.m. A woman's wallet was stolen while she was at Fogo de Chāo, police said. Fraudulent charges were made on the credit cards that were stolen, police said.
