Here are the top four stories in Huntington today:

  1. A dog's life was saved by police officers and animal hospital vet. Kody, a 1-year-old male, was playing with a ball when it got stuck in his throat. Kody's owners, who live on Lewis Court in Huntington Station, called 911 and Second Precinct officers arrived and brought Kody to West Hills Animal Hospital. They were able to dislodge the ball and Kody is doing much better, Suffolk Police said. (Huntington Patch)
  2. With Christmas just around the corner, we have you covered on where to buy a tree. Experts say there will be no shortage of Christmas trees this year, with supply expected to meet demand. Click the link to see where you can purchase a tree in the Northport - East Northport area. (Patch)
  3. The annual tree lighting ceremony to be held in Northport. The tree lighting ceremony is scheduled to be held Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. in Village Park. There will be caroling, Santa Claus will be in attendance and cookies and hot chocolate will be served. (Patch)
